Hurst set to be named Scunthorpe boss

Paul Hurst is set to be announced as the new manager of Scunthorpe United, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

The former Grimsby Town boss has been locked in advanced talks with the Iron’s board over the managerial role at Glanford Park and it is now suggested the deal will be finalised tomorrow.

Hurst has been out of work since last October, when he was sacked by relegated Championship side Ipswich Town.
