Grayson linked with Iron managerial role

Former Leeds and Preston boss Simon Grayson is a leading contender for the vacant manager’s job at Scunthorpe, according to journalist Pete O’Rouke.

Grayson, who left League One rivals Bradford City at the end of last season, was linked with the job prior to the appointment of Nick Daws.

Daws was sacked by Scunthorpe on Friday following a 5-0 defeat to Fleetwood.
