I’m also aware that this point is pretty small fry in relation to what’s incoming today.
My point is snot, that the club should be pre-empting important news like this being leaked, circulated amongst a handful of fans and get ahead of the game. Avert potential PR disasters.

I know you’re in a different time zone but you should stay up today and keep an eye out for the news to come out from the club.
One thing that is common knowledge now is that the S.A.G.have slapped a 2000 capacity cap on GP for the coming season, although that won’t matter as we no longer have any stewards. Is there a parallel universe where all this important info about the club is issued via official statements so ALL supporters are in the loop with stuff like this? What sort of Mickey Mouse operation has it become? Embarassing.
Yep
Agreed, it’s pretty humbling, as you say, but having to ‘eat humble pie’ is a charge against another, as opposed to a voluntary action. That aside, the ‘attacks and ridicule’ haven’t been inititiated from those critical of Hilton, in the main. Perhaps why I took issue with your disappointment that every poster isn’t shouting ‘David! David! rah rah rah!’ over the appointment of a new Director. Aware I’ve exaggerated a bit there!
Some players?
I don’t think anyone should have to eat humble pie over their own views on the big issues, unless they’ve actively participated in personal attacks and constant ridiculing of opinions that aren’t similar to theirs. Have a listen to the latest Bru podcast. The last point is discussed a little on it.

That’s not a defence or aspersion casting btw
Since the promotion of the scheme and the comments that DH made regarding it, I always got the impression he thought supporters should be more focused on the philanthropic nature of the transaction rather than delivery of the listed benefits. Just my take on it.

I think the bookies odds make sense from their point of view. They’d be crazy to offer better odds in the eventuality the club finish the season and they have to pay out more. Poor odds offered in the light of uncertainty gives them more protection.
‘or pay some salaries even.’
Not been verified whether they’ve been paid yet or not
Or you could play the ball not the man so much?
If it’s true that wages were late and still not been paid before KO, this may effect the performance.
Of course, the fact it’s not been verified doesn’t mean it’s not true. Only a fool would think otherwise.
0-0 for me. Tamworth to block the attacking threat but not offer much threat up top. Might change my mind before submitting
Completey understand your ‘whole take’ JI, though I don’t think it’s completely accurate to say no one actually understands the ‘shadows that linger’. There are elements that don’t take a rocket scientist to compute.
This hasn’t been raised or discussed anywhere else on social media, as far as I can tell. Hasn’t been verified
Not remotely funny
I’ll let my father in law know he must have been talking to himself sat next to an empty seat in the East Stand all these years. Thus spoke awaywego.
But only on the Facebook group
‘If someone bangs in a 30 yard screamer just below me on 12th Aug I hope the guy behind me doesnt nudge me in the back and ask me to tone it down’.
If that happens no one is going do that are they? Not the best comparison tbh.
‘And when WE want tips from you on what to think about OUR club, we’ll ask!’
Think that’s an assumption tbf. Not defending or supporting IB, as has been previously lazily claimed by some on here, but I find what IB posts to be generally of interest (not everything). There are also hundreds of supporters who view this forum daily but rarely post anything. You can’t vouch for them I’m afraid, just because a small percentage, including you, are hostile to one poster.

‘Yet still an undercurrent of negativity. Sigh.’
Nothing to do with the stadium issue and precarious financial situation? Sigh.
‘I’m trying to remember the last time we sold out our away allocation for a league
game’.Not got round to adding them?
I would be very surprised if any of the Directors were liable if it goes tits up, with it being a private limited company.
The mullet wigs will be about as popular as the much hyped ‘everyone wear green!’ campaign to Macc away, first match of the 2000-1 (?) season.
Pretty sure you said you’d drawn a line under this twice yesterday 🤣
Andy? Why Andy?
