    Living The Dream!

Every home game, one Fan gets to experience match day up close and personal as if he’s a player.

Report at the same time as the players.
    Pre-match meal.
Change in to SUFC kit in the dressing room with the players.
Take part in or be around the warm up (where applicable… not including technical drills)
    Pre-game managers talk / instructions.
Run / walk out with players.
Seat on the bench for the game.
Dressing room for half time managers debrief and instructions.
Back out with players – seat on bench.
Managers post-match debrief in changing room.
    Change back in to civvies.
    Post match meal in restaurant.

    Cost: £1,000

Season income = £23,000 plus Cup games.

Some might say that this is too ‘intrusive’ and would be a hindrance on match days.
Ranting & raving and ‘information’ can be heard being transmitted from the dug outs in every game – what we never see or hear is the private discussions in the changing room.

A pre-event meeting between the Fan and the Club Secretary could be used to discuss the day and a code of conduct and other guidelines to be reviewed and agreed to.

    What an experience!
The closest you’ll ever get to ‘living the dream’

You want me to pay a grand to spend all that time with Dean??

The length of coverage of his impending exit at the top of sports programmes is tedious but very predictable. Turned the radio off numerous times today because I’m really not arsed. That said I’m slightly envious hearing him saying he can’t summon up the enthusiasm to carry on in the same role doing it again and again and again and again, over and over, ad infinitum. If only my pension pot was big enough…

Klopp’s leaving?? Ffs, I expect a video akin to Lady Di dying. ‘Goodbye the reds rose…’

I like your posts Rene. At least you’re not asking me for a donation every 5 minutes.

It was called off at 10am?? I was already in London from the Friday night and we’d been out till late. Got up late and met a few more friends at a pub in Greenwich around midday. A lot of catching up to do and I suppose no one thought to check if it had been postponed. Just assumed with the undersoil heating that the game wasn’t in doubt. I was staying down there Saturday night anyway so it probably wasn’t crucial to us to check for updates. Don’t think I really looked at Twitter back then either.

Didn’t they say they forgot to turn it on or something? There was some feeble excuse I think. Didn’t know till we rocked up at 2:30 and wondered why it was so dead round there. Ended up on the lash all afternoon. No bad thing but I could have done that after the match anyway.

Has there ever been a town survey of clubs other than Scunny that the population supports? Wonder what the percentage is of people supporting top plight or ex top flight teams? Pretty sure Man U, Liverpool and Leeds would take up the majority, maybe evenly split?

Thought you’d be well up for singing YNWA in the DRE?

When I first saw YNWA on social media I thought someone was suggesting a NWA song by a new Young version of the band. Found it quite baffling. Think it’s an age thing. As for singing YNWA? Preposterous.

Don’t knock a guy that is trying to help his club, it’s unnecessary.
BTW have you handed over that £1000 you set aside to help buy the ground?

I’m not going to knock him for his endeavours but I don’t think him and others turning on anyone who is slightly critical of him for overkill on the Facebook group is really on, do you? Just reminds me of the Hilton era when those critical were jumped on by the majority. Do some people never learn?

Nothing against the bloke. I know he gets a lot of stick for being ubiquitous but that’s hardly his fault. He was quite good doing a cameo in a Beatles themed film (‘Yesterday’?)

Conflicting reports from Iron supporter’s who made the trip, particularly some who spoke to Dean, Turnball, stewards and Darlo’s keeper. Sounds like both managers wanted the ref to reconsider playing it after the rain had stopped but projected weather was an issue, or she said it was too late to change the decision. Done now anyway. Frustrating trip back for all those that made the trip. I blame climate change.

At least it’s not crowdfunding for WHAM’s legal fees. Even he didn’t want that – doesn’t like being given funds easily- where’s the fun, the thrill in that eh?!!
