Predicted 1-1. Could go either way of that of course.

Not seen that. Will take a look. Cheers. Not been since mid autumn either. Warming up slightly now so I’ll be going soon. Need the banks to dry out a bit first.

It’s been prolonged since he arrived IMO. Still, you never know. Maybe he and the players will miraculously turn it on.

Speaking of which … I fancy a go at those perch at Rodley sometime soon. See you in the Barge afterwards.

Been fishing over the winter JI? Literally I mean, not on here. Just teasing, but have you?

Lol, ‘you’re’ morphing in to my first venture on to an Iron forum back in around 2000-1. Can’t even remember what the site was called but I was ‘The Grammar Checker’, and later ‘Feg’. ‘The Ref’ would post too. My sole purpose seemed to be telling people off for bad grammar and criticising the increasingly poor defending of Russ Wilcox. Happy, simpler days :)

Not if you’ve alreďy sold it or got offers, or agent’s telling you offers are in the pipeline

So how many of our properties do you reckon have already been sold then Deerey?

Maybe they should have “sold” or “under offer” on the back of their shirts so we’d have an idea.

Good idea. If any players are interested in a deal with Forest Green Rovers, get a big Vegetarian Society tick on your shirt.

I doubt it TJO. IMO it’s endemic of a wider societal problem but we may be best parking that one?

I’d go along with it too, but only if they made it a solemn vow and wrote it in their own blood.

I’m sure the Board will make a statement when there’s something tangible to say. In the meantime maybe more supporters could practice ‘United We Stand’ and accept collective responsibility for a situation ultimately created by Hilton.

If it’s highly likely that is partly the case, then why do so many supporters need the Board to say it TJO? Particularly as it’s quite possibly half the story.

The underperforming players have short memories.
They need to cast their minds back a few months ago when they were left in the shit without wages by a conman.
The fans who they’re supposed to be entertaining put their hands in their pockets to ensure their wages were paid.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

I agree totally with that too. I’m just playing devil’s advocate

    Regarding this point:

    2. Some of the players probably the higher paid, supposedly higher level Hilton signings are coasting as they know there won’t be a big new contract here at the end of the season, promotion or not.

Put yourself in the shoes of some of the higher paid players. Rather than ‘coasting’, their minds may be on how they’re going to sustain that level of income they’ve got used to for so long? I’m not saying it’s right by any means but realistically it’s a possibility it’s a huge distraction, no? So if we’re talking ‘clusterf***s’, the current situation is one that leads right back to Hilton’s door, again. Rather that folk (not you TJO) getting on the board’s back to make decisions and statements, why not just let them get on with dealing with the mess in their own way in their own time without unnecessary pressure?

Well we need a reaction from someone after Tuesday.

If it’s not forthcoming from the ownership then it will have to be from the coaching and playing staff.

It’ll be more of the same tomorrow.
Players will be at half pace, protecting themselves from picking up a serious injury.
You can’t go on trial if you can’t play due to injury.
There minds will be on “where am I going to be playing next season”

You can add to that ‘the amount of abuse some of them dished out at Darlo aswell, sod em’.

They are asking the like on the Facebook page awaywego. Latest is someone suggesting that every player writes what’s really going on and signs it, in their own blood.

Well you were one of them Deerey, just a shame post from back then aren’t there anymore.

Don’t think so. But in any case, booing on to the pitch is another poor comparison IMO

‘Just the same as many complaining now about the abuse thought it was acceptable to boo KVV on to the pitch’

Are they? Sounds convenient! You’ve got what, 4-5 people on here complaining about it? Pretty sure I wasn’t one of those who said it was okay re: KVV. You must mean the other 3-4.
