Credit to Butler. After 5 or 6 seasons of rolling over for physical teams like Tamworth and Woking we respond to the challenge and earn the right to play our football.

Not said Campbell is good anywhere.I find Whitehall just about OK,would be good if he wasn’t lazy .His antics make me annoyed that he plays for us

His antics are annoying for sure but tbh as long as he keeps scoring and winding up the opposition and not getting sent off he be fine.

The shithousery is a significant part of his game. Like it or loathe it

Would sooner him playing for us than against us, remember when he played against us when we were in this league before, absolutely got up our fans back that day, only problem is he sometimes doesn’t get genuine decisions because he has a reputation, their number 10 today looked good first half but was losing it big time with decisions against them

yes he did wind their player up – who was stupid enough to punch Whitehall and should have been sent off for it.
Whitehall does a job and does it well and I’m happy with a goal a game.
If he goes beyond the rules up to the ref to sort him.

Whitehall clearly punched him then went down like a sack of spuds when he got one back,Had the linesman chose to report either he’d have been off.I don’t like players with no morals in my team

No you just don’t like Whitehall, and Fitz and Clunan.

If it wasn’t for Whitehalls theatricals we don’t get the penalty at Marine that saved Butler from the sack, and your one of his biggest brown nosers.

I don’t like Whitehall,I just think Clunan and Fitz are overrated. There’s AA good player in Whitehall, which is all the more frustrating.

I like our strikers to score goals, and he’s hit 40 for us already in 78 games. Keep on doing what you’re doing Danny!

Danny Whitehall is full of shithousery but….he’s our shithouser! How many times over the years have we whinged at various opponents shithousers! If he keeps averaging a goal every 2 games, I don’t care and I feel no embarrassment whatsoever!

Just had a squint at the NL top scorers list. Okay, very early days but Whitehall and Howe up there at the top of the scorers and Roberts top in assists.

Butler has got his lineup right for the first two games at least. Personally I’m more interested in how the eleven perform as a team rather than the weaknesses of one or two.

Would you drop DW for Beck to teach him a lesson? I wouldn’t.

Absolutely nonsense Cliff, I’ve given Whitehall stick in the past but for me he turned a corner after last Xmas when he stepped up to being a proper nuisance striker and his contributions improved massively IMO. His type of game has it’s frustrating moments but his new two year deal shows his commitment to the Iron cause and I believe if Howe continues his early season form both him and Whitehall will be a formidable strike force. Whitehall’s shithousery and Howes energy could see them score lots of goals.

What Whitehall brings to this side is very very obvious.

If he hadn’t got injured and missed a good chunk at the end of last season we comfortably would’ve gone up as champions.

I’ve seen the clip several times on Gareth’s vlog. There’s some shirt pulling on both sides in the build up which culminates in Danny throwing his arm across the upper chest of the defender who retaliates in similar fashion and Danny over reacts by sinking to the floor. – as most forwards do in an attempt to influence the officials. (sad but true!). Didn’t see any ‘punches’ thrown, but did notice Danny’s shirt was ripped above the maker’s logo when he came off. Me reffing? 2 yellows.
