To be positive for a minute… a thread full of good memories.
I’ve posted this before, but our Greatest ever manager and probably best ever goalkeeper involved

April 7, 2025 at 6:52 pm #301891When James Perch hit that i thought “Goal of the season”
April 7, 2025 at 6:57 pm #301892So many, I’ll start with the win over Crewe to take us to our first Wembley, don’t mind admitting that I cried that night.
April 7, 2025 at 7:00 pm #301893Rare local derby-ish win(i’ve tried to find the game at Sincil Bank over Xmas where we took half the Co-op Stand, but i can’t find it)
April 7, 2025 at 7:03 pm #301894Went down on the Train, Rushden were skint and Andy Butler so nearly got a Hat-trick.
April 7, 2025 at 7:05 pm #301895We were neither hard to beat nor fun when James bloody Perch was at the club!

April 7, 2025 at 7:10 pm #301896As i know a fair few Posh fans, this was enjoyable.
April 7, 2025 at 7:12 pm #301897He also scored an even better one against us when he was stealing wages from Mansfield.
April 7, 2025 at 7:14 pm #301898Now, not a good memory. I left my ticket at home and had to ring my brother to bring it to the station for me so i missed having a few pints in Birmingham. The Jason Koumas Show.
April 7, 2025 at 7:24 pm #301899Found a great pub in Burslem, cheap too.
Hammered it down with rain and Vale battered us but we got a draw.
On Train home was talking to a mate saying we escaped with a point and an old lad piped up(might be Jeff Pugh) “They weren’t that bad”April 7, 2025 at 7:41 pm #301900The loudest i’ve ever heard it in the DRE
April 7, 2025 at 7:48 pm #301902Watched this in a Pub in Ireland and told the barman we’ll lose this. For once i was wrong.
April 7, 2025 at 7:54 pm #301904Great away win. Short walk to Spa Lane Vaults pub then find the bus, walk back with a police escort…

5 of the best goals we’ve ever conceded in a single game. Kevin Phillips magnificent. You sure Koumas was involved? I’d travelled down from my mate’s wedding in Newcastle the day before, not a great trip with a hangover!
April 8, 2025 at 3:13 pm #301936That WBA game was one I remembered…. great goals and they had a good team. Zoltan Gera a cult hero there

April 8, 2025 at 3:34 pm #301937I was at the Hawthorns that day, was pretty depressing watching those goals fly in.
Koumas not involved but a player of equal legendary status most definitely was…the infamous Tomi Ameobi made an appearance off the bench!

April 8, 2025 at 3:45 pm #301938Philips was 10 yards offside for his goal. Stopped and looked at the linesman, saw no flag so carried on and tucked it away. We were actually still in the game until then but certainly never in the game afterwards.
April 8, 2025 at 4:16 pm #301942It’s a hard criticism to suggest a top of the table team are easy to beat

I’m not sure he was given how deep Cliff is but Phillips sure took the chance. His chip for the third is one of the best goals I’ve ever seen us concede. The sending off of Williams definitely made life much harder for us and I think it was a pretty harsh decision – Murphy virtually had the ball in his hands when Gera went down.

Not Koumas, Koren! Began with a K

April 8, 2025 at 8:40 pm #301958That West Brom game was great, but we lost.
The game at Exeter, when their new stand was just open, where we won 4-0, was excellent. We were just like Brazil – and Beagrie was outstanding.
