Playing the lincs cup game against the cods behind closed doors what a bloody discrace, lowest ranked team gets the home draw and they rob us of the opportunity to go and watch.
No matter what the cost it should have been open to the public, why open it up for the fa trophy but not for this one would have probably got a similar crowd.
Will have cost the club money anyway hire of ground and transport costs for them. And robbing us of see Uzbekistan scoring his first 2 goals.
Sufc thanks for nothing.November 19, 2024 at 8:37 pm #294315Are you sure it wasn’t the vinegar stroke?, after all he made a few cock ups.
November 19, 2024 at 8:59 pm #294316A pleasing result regardless.
Alledgedly they were also using an experimental flat back 6 that’ll also be unleashed at the weekend. Good times.
November 19, 2024 at 9:30 pm #294317Really disappointing decision by the club to play this behind closed doors, obviously this wouldn’t appeal to everyone and as such the crowd would have been comparatively low, but shouldn’t we have been given the choice on whether to attend or not? If the cost saving line put out is true, what kind of trouble were our local constabulary expecting and how many riot police, horses etc. were they planning to unveil for a glorified friendly.
November 20, 2024 at 1:14 am #294322Not really a surprise as the attendance would have been low. The turnout would not have covered the match day expenses and it also give the pitch a rest as it would have cut u in this weather.
Bit disappointing not being able to watch it in the flesh, but we have bigger problems to worry out e.g terrible league form and an inept manager who’s still at the club.
looks like we’ve got that young CB back on trial, Finn Abraham who came on for a few minutes towards the end. I thought he looked solid enough in pre season, I doubt he’d do much worse than Evans and Nicholson.
