Obviously most important aspect was the result. However, am i the only one who thinks we were fairly average on the day?
Chorley were cloggers with a useful forward (who would be worth a look next season), who only really threatened from long throws and set pieces. What concerned me was the lack of control we had from our third goal through to the fourth. A better team would have punished us.
The great redeeming feature was that we were absolutely clinical with our finishing, but beyond the four we put away I don’t recall us creating much more?
Bottom line is that a better team might have turned us over on that performance. I’m interested in what everyone else thought. Chester will be a really hard game, and Roberts is a huge loss imo.
We had average spells but it was a competent performance in the main, never really in doubt. Clinical in the final third which has been lacking for much of the season.
