Sounds as if Nicholson is leaving permanently…
February 12, 2025 at 9:40 am #298823Nice… thread title.
February 13, 2025 at 3:06 pm #298902As predicted Nico back to Boston on permanent deal.

February 13, 2025 at 6:35 pm #298904At least it expels the myth that he wasn’t allowed to play at an higher level because of his hooligan conviction.
February 13, 2025 at 8:25 pm #298906Strange. Played well for the most of the opening 10 games, few dodgy performances and his SUFC time is over?
Our recruitment since the takeover has been poor, only Rowley has made any impression and he’s barely featured. Desperately need Head of recruitment before the inflated Hilton contracts expire.
February 13, 2025 at 9:12 pm #298907“Boston United winger Sam Osborne has departed the Jakemans Community Stadium by mutual consent. The 26-year-old, who scored five goals in 26 appearances, is poised to sign for a club in National League North.”
Any connection?
February 13, 2025 at 9:24 pm #298908I hope so. Carlton’s completely fell out of favour. I wonder if he’s to sign along with the RB Butler said is joining after spending last 5 weeks on trial ?

Some of our recruitment in recent seasons has not matched some of the players released.
If those released are not replaced by better players then why release those players – we have gained nothing and probably lost more.
Perhaps the powers that be should pay attention to comments from supporters. Can’t do any worse.

After Tuesdays match Butler said the RB deal would be done “tomorrow”. Both parties have had 5 weeks to sort this out, are one or both not sure it’s right?
February 14, 2025 at 11:16 am #298918If we have a team built on players with League 1/2-level wages, trying to add to a squad with players on NLN wages was always going to be a challenge. I was never that taken on Nicholson, couldn’t ever see him succeeding in a team which was going to dominate possession. Alright as a ‘stopper’ but not much more.
The one that surprises me is Brogan, especially when he was offered a new contract before Christmas. But there’s still time for him to come good, I guess.
February 14, 2025 at 11:39 am #298920Looks like York are open to letting Mo Fadera stay till the end of the season, with call back if required. They expect a big club coming in for him in the future, don’t think their far wrong either.
February 14, 2025 at 12:33 pm #298921Too early for that surely, AWG, after a handful of NLN games.

Scales got a new contract, not Brogan.

It’s a league of pub teams full of plumbers and sparkies one day, Championship standard the next.

Something’s definitely not right with the supposed RB. As you stated, five weeks is a long time and was supposed to have been signed Wednesday. Bit odd.
February 14, 2025 at 4:10 pm #298942Looked dreadful with the tats, played like a chimp from what I saw of him.
February 14, 2025 at 5:13 pm #298944Starbuck has signed today until the end of season
February 14, 2025 at 5:28 pm #298948The official end of 5 at the back.
Better late than never.

February 14, 2025 at 6:41 pm #298952A Grimsby fan has told me he was promising at Grimsby and they sold him to Sheffield United when they got relegated to the Conference
