Looks a draw to me.
1-1
From OWS:
“Scunthorpe playing the second most long passes in the league with 56 per game”
“Scunthorpe and Tamworth rank in the bottom six when it comes to passing accuracy into the final third.
Scunthorpe having an accuracy of 57% – Tamworth at 54%”1 user thanked author for this post.
December 5, 2025 at 1:29 pm #314018Passing has been an issue for several seasons and I do not understand why, they should practice until they are on their knees every day !!
They might get the message then.

December 5, 2025 at 3:00 pm #314021Agreed. Was the only thing wrong with Tuesday’s performance.

December 5, 2025 at 4:55 pm #314028Who’s fit?
Not Evans or Ewing and Rose as well it seems.
Any news on Roberts & Whitehall?December 5, 2025 at 5:40 pm #314029Ewing and Roberts may make the squad but not ready for 90 minutes. Whitehall definitely not before Woking and Rose had a relapse so out until the new year. Beestin carrying a hip injury but hints he may start but not last 90.
All from Humberside interview yesterday.

December 5, 2025 at 10:24 pm #314032Could have Barrows on the bench. Not sure if Oteh could play although is on Non-Contract.
December 6, 2025 at 4:45 pm #314040What a Negative lineup.
Looks like he’s saving our best players to try and rescue the game , went wrong last time when Jimmy gave that extra bit of punishment to Danny when benching him when coming back from suspension.
Hope I’m wrong .
Looks a cracking bench mind.December 6, 2025 at 5:05 pm #314042Probably thinks it’s another NL Cup game!

December 6, 2025 at 7:42 pm #314046Brilliant management!
I was purring with Roberts and Ewing back transforming the side.
Well done Carlton – but as a non-gambler I’d have put money on you missing your hat trick. (Was really rooting for you, though but.)1 user thanked author for this post.
December 6, 2025 at 7:43 pm #314047Looks like a good game plan by AB. Obviously a bit hamstrung with what’s on offer but scoring all the goals and a missed peno.
Think everyone has had value for money
December 6, 2025 at 8:17 pm #314048Terrible first half but so much better second when Roberts and Ewing came on. Forgot how good Ewing is…jeez we’ve missed him!

December 6, 2025 at 8:21 pm #314049Can’t wait to be back to a full squad again. The difference Ewing and Roberts made was very noticeable. We’ve definitely missed them!

December 6, 2025 at 8:36 pm #314050We’ve missed them as much as the ref and linesman missed the Tamworth player slapping the ball away off the goal line.

December 6, 2025 at 8:44 pm #314051Credit to Butler, he got the starting line up/formation wrong but realised quickly and changed it.
Wrap Roberts & Ewing in cotton wool!
Rowley sub a surprise, not injured I hope.December 6, 2025 at 8:54 pm #314052Think it was more the fact that Westbrooke was playing better than him (probably his best game in an Iron shirt) and wanted both Ewing and Beestin as the other 2 of the 3 in the middle.
December 6, 2025 at 9:17 pm #314053Rowley has a back problem which he’s been nursing all season according to AB post match, just shows how we miss our better players, Roberts and Ewen different class second half, deserved win and good management from Butler today.

December 7, 2025 at 8:14 am #314057I’m sorry to have a go but I was rather unimpressed by Scales.

December 7, 2025 at 10:12 am #314062Can’t give any credit to Butler for his starting 11 twas negative all day long.
And like i said needed our better players to rescue the game.1 user thanked author for this post.
December 7, 2025 at 11:40 am #314068Better performance, some passing still poor but some of the close, one touch stuff was very good. Using Starbuck & Denton in advanced roles gives a good indication of how AB rates Eze & Chadwick, square pegs again. Chadwicks loan until January but Eze here for the season unless we can persuade Bolton that he’d be better off somewhere else. We need to make room for at least one to challenge the starting 11.
Beestin needs resting to get fit, looked like a lost sheep yesterday, not fair to ask him to play on.December 7, 2025 at 12:39 pm #314074Why do mangers talk about a false 9. We all know it means you haven’t anyone to play up top. Failed badly it was like watching over 50’s walking football until AB shuffled it.
Was impressed that Butler kept very attacking team on after the subs – Westbrook and Ewing in midfield we are only going one way and it isn’t defending the lead.
Burrows signing for the season no doubt and we’ll Rose next season (hopefully)
Only 10 points to go :-)December 7, 2025 at 2:31 pm #314077AB’s starting eleven yesterday certainly more to do with Roberts and Ewen being unable to last a full game, the second half display once changes were made fully justifies the original starting eleven IMO. Good management good tactics means three points plus a very entertaining second half to boot, no complaints from me.
December 7, 2025 at 3:31 pm #314082Terrible first half but so much better second when Roberts and Ewing came on. Forgot how good Ewing is…jeez we’ve missed him!
They knackered my 1-1 draw double up :-(
I had us and also FGR to draw 1-1 with Solihull.
Would have paid out handsomely to the £10 double :-(Oh well… all’s fair in love, hate & war :-)
December 10, 2025 at 7:21 pm #314175Haven’t been to a game in a while but the club putting another warning out on Fan Behaviour sums up someone’s Legacy
December 10, 2025 at 7:39 pm #314176Yes Butler’s legacy is well up and running.
The club getting in on the act now.
Taping Tonks on the shoulder and offering him glasses is hardly a banning offence.
There used to be something called banter at one time.December 10, 2025 at 8:13 pm #314177Herbert’s Lieutenant Straight in there with the “evidence”
December 11, 2025 at 9:38 am #314183Maybe Tonks thought the guy might have tapped him on the shoulder with a knife, I mean if you can smuggle pyros into a ground a knife shouldn’t be a problem, guss the point is keep banter verbal , remember it was only Olivia Newton John who wanted to get physical, lol.
December 11, 2025 at 10:33 am #314186Just don’t touch match officials. That edict is there for good reason. It’s not rocket science is it. What’s sad is the club have been put in a position to post the warning in the first place due to some not so smart arse.
