Any word on his injury? Got two weeks to get fit and then all summer to recover…
May 4, 2025 at 11:08 am #303993He tweeted (xed?) “it doesn’t look good”
May 4, 2025 at 11:24 am #303997The final should be a week after the semis at most.
I think the NL ought to look at their end of season organisation for next season.
How to keep players chomping at the bit when they’ve got no game for 2 weeks – then that next game is the biggest game of the season?
Too much stop start.Perhaps:
Eliminators (both) Sat 2nd May
Semis (both) Wed 6th May
Final Sat 9th MayMay 4, 2025 at 11:24 am #303998Butler mentioned the dreaded “hamstring” word in his Humberside interview.
Scan Monday but anything other than a very slight strain takes longer than a couple of weeks.
May 4, 2025 at 11:29 am #303999I hope I am wrong but he might have played his last game for us
May 4, 2025 at 11:30 am #304000Some ibuprofen, he’ll be reet.
May 4, 2025 at 1:03 pm #304003It’s a real shame, the lad has proved a lot of people wrong by maintaining his fitness all season and now the best player in the NLN is going to miss his final game for us through a really unfortunate injury, feel sorry for the lad he has been immense.

May 4, 2025 at 1:06 pm #304004When he went down he knew what had happened arm up immediately for sub.
Appeared distressed when he came off feel sorry for him unfortunately think that’s his last game for us hopefully physios can work some magic on him.May 4, 2025 at 1:31 pm #304006We can only keep our fingers crossed and hope (a few weeks ago everyone on here was claiming Whitehall had played his last game for us).
Will be a big loss if he does end up being out for the final.
May 4, 2025 at 11:18 pm #304044That’s him done.
May 5, 2025 at 3:01 am #304045May 5, 2025 at 7:18 am #304049We will miss him that’s for sure. Think he was involved in 2 if not 3 of the goals on Saturday.
Just watched Kiddy v Chester.
Chester look a decent side as I’ve not seen them this season even though we beat them I think in 2 weeks time it will be a completely different game.
They move the ball well and break fast.1 user thanked author for this post.
May 5, 2025 at 7:54 am #304051If we turn up and play on the front foot we win.
Roberts help’s with that but if he’s missing then use him as a “do it for Roberts” who got us here.
You never know promotion may just get him to stay. He always comes across as a decent bloke, with some honour (rare in footy)May 5, 2025 at 7:59 am #304052Hopefully, Stan will start DW up front with Carlton. They (if he’s here next year) could be a great strike force for us next season.
Fingers crossed for CR10May 5, 2025 at 9:51 am #304056My Chester mate is already celebrating!
May 5, 2025 at 10:52 am #304058I’m sure I read on here only a month or so ago that Carlton wasn’t actually a footballer. Fair bit of volte face occurring from one or two.

Why does he like seeing them get beat?, lol.
May 14, 2025 at 12:16 pm #304437Anyone heard any whispers regarding his availability on sunday? A long long shot.
May 14, 2025 at 12:49 pm #304438Keeping us in the dark and Chester guessing, they’ll have to have two plans. Hoping they need Plan A which includes Roberts playing.

That seems to me to be exactly what’s going on. However, I don’t think there’s any chance that Roberts will be playing.
May 15, 2025 at 12:26 am #304460I think you will find that up until the teams are announced the club will state Roberts is 50:50. I have to say, that with 7 subs, if he’s fit to take a penalty, I’d have him on the bench!

May 15, 2025 at 7:09 am #304462Player with a dicky hamstring taking a pen? Not for me thanks. What if he pulls up in his run up or taking it? Too risky.
May 16, 2025 at 2:46 pm #304509Just read a FB post saying AB confirmed on radio Hull Roberts is out Sunday .. mind games ?? if not his goal threat and assists will be a massive miss for the Iron..
May 16, 2025 at 3:18 pm #304510We have won games without Roberts and this is no different, yes he’s a massive miss but if we lose we can’t use his absence as an excuse, we will have either played badly on the day or didn’t turn up, we’ve done both before with Roberts playing.

May 16, 2025 at 3:50 pm #304512Heres the interview make yer own mind up if you think AB may be bluffing re Roberts .. his words “being brutally honest i dont think he will be in involved … he wont be involved.
sorry about the long link pulled it off X
May 16, 2025 at 4:16 pm #304516Doesn’t sound like he’s bluffing to me, but we shall soon find out.
Carlton has been on fire lately so we’ve got a ready made replacement waiting in the wings if he doesn’t end up making it.

DW & Carlton up top.May 21, 2025 at 11:46 am #304896Rarely look on X and the Facebook Group but just looking back at the number of people claiming Roberts was definitely going to play is staggering. I can understand ‘might do’/ ‘you never know’, etc, but to adamantly claim he’d be playing despite lots of evidence to the contrary, speaks volumes.
May 21, 2025 at 3:33 pm #304899Same people who say that he’s definitely leaving the club?
