Dec Howe never stopped and deserved his goal for all the hard work in a good team performance.

Some nice passing but some wayward stuff too. Okay a bit of an experimental lineup and the U21 lads are pretty quick but still sloppy at times.

However we never really looked like conceding and Carlton at LWB/LB was a revelation.

Always good to beat the Toon though, no matter what the competition.

More of a Carlton/Howe type than a Whitehall though. We’re lacking a bit of physical presence in front of the back 4.

Nice to see a clean sheet on the board, and a tidy finish from Oteh. I’m not reading too much into the result though as teams in the National League tend to be a lot more physical and direct at times.
