Though it’s so distant from our hands it’s borderline impossible, I believe the NLN title is still mathematically on..? So what are the permutations for Saturday? In terms of: What would we need to happen for Scunthorpe United to win the league, come second, come third etc.
April 22, 2025 at 3:49 pm #303086A miracle.

April 22, 2025 at 3:59 pm #303087Us putting in a decent away performance is probably above miracle status. Farsley getting a point or three is even less likely.
Southport could fluke a result but only if the Kidderminster defence gift them enough goals – a bit like we did at Southport.

April 22, 2025 at 4:00 pm #303088Brackley are simply not losing at home against Farsley, even if Harriers mess up at Haig Avenue.
The King’s Lynn result did for us sadly.

April 22, 2025 at 4:33 pm #3030912 miracles (us beating Hereford and Farsley holding Brackley to a draw) and one huge surprise (Southport beating Kiddie). Chances of this are slimmer than a blue Rizzla. Have many stranger things happened?

Not many, I’m sure.
April 22, 2025 at 4:36 pm #303093Harrier Nick might be along soon with his version of that weirdo on Twitter who used to wind up supporters of failing clubs with the likes of ‘watching you get battered really turns me on…’, etc etc.
April 22, 2025 at 4:37 pm #303094If we win, Kiddie lose (if they draw we have to win 6-0) and Brackley draw then we’re champions.
That just isn’t going to happen, especially as mentioned above Brackley have Farsley at home (who have lost their last 10 games with a -28 goal difference).

April 22, 2025 at 4:42 pm #303097Kiddy & Brakly will win.
We’ll finish 3rd.
We’ll finish 4th if Chester win their game by 11 clear goals and we lose by 10 clear goals.
Have a beer & enjoy the sun!April 22, 2025 at 4:42 pm #303098That just isn’t going to happen
All three of those results are highly improbable, but not impossible.
April 22, 2025 at 4:44 pm #303099The annoying thing is we did the double over Brackley and beat Kidderminster easily at home and lost to a fluke goal there
April 22, 2025 at 4:49 pm #303100Look on the brightside. Promotion is still in our own hands. We just need to win two playoff matches!

April 22, 2025 at 4:51 pm #303101Forget the title that went tits up with the KLT shambles..
As posted on another thread heres my permutation and most favourable route to promotion.
We finish 3rd so guaranteed a home semi final… which we win
Brackley loose in their semi final to whoever it is
At that point Scunny being the highest place in the league would have a home final which we could win who ever it is … (rather than having to go away to Brackley)
I have not been on moon dust just my opinion and this is way more likely than the title pigs in space miracle

Ilko P@rick may be along to remind us of where we went wrong.

Plausible.
April 22, 2025 at 4:59 pm #303104Might be Rene. Would have thought his burger is defrosted but quite red raw.

The most plausible IMO, but still a stretch.
April 22, 2025 at 5:19 pm #303106The only interesting thing to watch out for on Saturday is who ends up 7th.
They get an away game at Chester on Wednesday to determine who comes to the Attis the following Sunday.

Do loan players return to their parent club after the final game of the regular season or can they play in the play offs thinking of FaderaApril 23, 2025 at 8:30 am #303157As I said on another thread, we’ll finish third. Kidderminster will be Champions.
Chester will win their quarterfinal home game and we’ll beat them again at AAGP in the semis.
Away to Brackley in the final where we’ll lose on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

There’s a good possibility we could experience a largish defeat on Saturday… say 3-0
Hereford & Curzon are on the same points and goal difference.
Hereford currently sit in 7th having scored far more goals than Curzon. Those two are going to be at it hammer & tongs to beat the other in terms of goals scored on Saturday. And desperately defending to avoid conceding.
They are both guaranteed to put a shift+ in!
Our boys… they’ll have their eyes on the SF PO game.
It could be our ‘perfect storm’

It’s no coincidence that he’s actually started both of those games.
April 23, 2025 at 9:22 am #303167Didn’t start on Monday.

April 24, 2025 at 10:09 am #303253Well Rene Chester have given up on finishing 3rd, their eliminator playoff tickets have now gone on sale, guess the don’t need permission from the National league lol.

Rene you do realise your post about Mo now qualifies you for nomination in The Last Legs Dick of the Year awards on Channel 4, lol. Mo is a young upcoming player who has been a breath of fresh air in our squad since joining on loan from York but he is young and is allowed the odd duff game, its part of his experoencing building, you know that.
