Anyone got any idea who the new signings could be?
January 13, 2026 at 10:56 pm #315296No, but the OWS did put a story up that Max Brogan has joined Leamington but it has since been taken down.
January 14, 2026 at 12:37 am #315297Some lad called Connor Smith from Hamilton apparently!
I’ve no reason to doubt what I’ve been told but conjecture is always conjecture so I offer no warranty as to the accuracy of the info.
January 14, 2026 at 9:48 am #315300If we can afford to sign Conor Smith my worry would be that he’s Ewing’s replacement.
January 14, 2026 at 2:14 pm #315303Smith played the majority of his games here as a left winger, so I’d say more of a TSF replacement.

January 14, 2026 at 3:37 pm #315310Would be happy to see Connor back, but with Accies having been taken over now I would have thought they’d have been trying to keep hold of him!

Hamilton have moved 2 players out recently, perhaps there is some pressure. With Conor he did surprise everyone when he travelled down to support the team in the play-off against Chester – so shows what he thinks about the club.
But what will be will be……
January 14, 2026 at 5:49 pm #315312Hamilton’s new owners actually don’t have any cash to speak of. They’re decent operators but raise investment rather than just pump it in.
I’m told that their wage bill is astronomical given where they are (2.4m a year – which is crazy even if it’s close up that) so they are preparing for some short term severe pain.
Players who they don’t really want to lose, and even players who they might get a modest fee in the usual course of things simply have to go to get them off the wage bill.
Whether that means Smith is on his way back is another question but it seems very plausible.

Lincoln City have just released their accounts. Their wage bill is £7.5 million !! Which is 89% of revenue reported as £8.2 mill. Now that is sobering and only in Div 1.
January 15, 2026 at 1:44 am #315319Imps have wealthy US backers and are likely going up this year for their first ever Championship season. Possible move to new ground too.
January 15, 2026 at 11:08 am #315325So does that mean the reported 89% revenue includes donations, loans or ‘investments’?
January 15, 2026 at 1:15 pm #315333Lincoln fans never learn dismissing the losses, they’ve nearly gone bust 3-4 times i can remember.
No new ground for them which limits capacity unless they can improve one of their standsJanuary 15, 2026 at 1:21 pm #315334Pleased we haven’t done a last minute, late night deal !
Remember the last time ? It was with Wrexham – we agreed a fee, we were daft enough to pay it and to this day no one from previous owners admitted the error ! 2.5yr deal and made 2 appearances – welcome Dom Vose !!
January 15, 2026 at 1:40 pm #315337Lol, Vose!

January 15, 2026 at 5:37 pm #315344Can’t fault the club for showing intent.
Class player when last here, won’t come cheap but class doesn’t come cheap.1 user thanked author for this post.
January 15, 2026 at 9:21 pm #315348Brilliant signing, can’t believe we did it. Well done to all involved.
I think Connor wanted it to happen as Andy Butler said he got a call from his agent.
January 28, 2026 at 8:01 am #315752Any rumours about a new Forward coming in? Been a while since the club were talking about it with a deal or two not materialising. Could do with another asset up top.
January 28, 2026 at 8:35 am #315754AB said post match FG a new forward was due in Tuesday/ Wednesday this week so around now. He said he just had to double check with the players club to finalise things but he wouldn’t give any names out to Olly on RH.
January 28, 2026 at 11:35 am #315759Transfer window for EFL ends in a few days so if anything is going to happen it’ll be soon. Maybe the lending club haven’t secured their replacement yet.
January 28, 2026 at 12:18 pm #315760Quite a few Premier prospects started moves to championship, div 1 and 2 clubs yesterday which is hopefully the trigger.
January 28, 2026 at 2:41 pm #315762We need a few more players from Donny.

Taking a bit of getting over the line isn’t it? Hope he’s worth waiting for.
