This person is usually accurate (maybe a burner account from someone in the Club or closely connected).
So, if he’s right…. and if, as reported, Zanetti has already defaulted on paying acts, isn’t there reasonable case to assume that because it’s a flop he won’t stumping up his owings to the Club ..?
And, if so, will they bother to pursue their fee bearing in mind the time, effort and resources involved – or his dubious connections?
May 25, 2025 at 7:51 pm #305046Hmm, very close to what I assumed would be the arrangement. Though whether it’s accurate or not isn’t known. I can confirm that I’m not the Sanderson account holder though.
I will say this though; you could kind of tell the way Zanetti’s been plugging it that he had the most to lose
May 25, 2025 at 7:58 pm #305047Like several other people I’ve spoken to about it, I was somewhat surprised by the scale of ambition bearing in mind the quality of the event – but for the Club’s sake I wanted it to be successful. I really hope the Club is protected contractually from financial damage.
May 25, 2025 at 8:01 pm #305048The model I suggested is pretty industry standard, so hopefully all good.

It is the standard, yes. Essentially venue hire by a promoter. I suggested pretty much the same thing in earlier threads – but we don’t actually know how agreements and contracts might have played out behind the scenes of this one, what with the Club taking its first step into gigs.
That wasn’t my point. I was asking if the Club will even get its money, and what will happen if the Club doesn’t get its money?
May 25, 2025 at 8:13 pm #305053My hope is Zanetti’s paid stadium hire well in advance of the event.

Same here – and you’d hope those at the helm of the Club are sharp enough to have insisted on it!
May 25, 2025 at 8:24 pm #305055Ideal scenario for me is when Zanetti did that flyover video and has Roj on the phone, Roj was thinking, ‘no brainer, he’s hiring the stadium so it’s minimal risk with little to lose for us’. We shall see I suppose.
May 25, 2025 at 8:38 pm #305056The whole event is being put on by a promotor called Spencer who has been around the club for the last few months.

May 25, 2025 at 10:13 pm #305059I was told “If it’s not a success it has an impact on all involved” by the promoter, but that they were taking on most of the risk.
