There isn’t a player in this team that I have any real sympathy with .I just find them hard to like .Unexciting to watch ,some are just bad players and seemingly incapable as a team of turning central defenders and making them work for a living. The worst failing is a total inability to win individual battles especially in challenges.
April 18, 2025 at 5:07 pm #302531It’s alright, a few of them will be gone in the Summer
April 18, 2025 at 5:08 pm #302532They’re pretty hard to like for long
April 18, 2025 at 5:14 pm #302535Happy with my assessment after the first ten games.
April 18, 2025 at 5:21 pm #302544Couldn’t pass to a team mate.
Couldn’t keep the ball on the pitch.
Rubbish!April 18, 2025 at 5:37 pm #302547I don’t like this team neither. Zero passion and today really showed that in spades.
Next season will be no different though just another bunch of bargain bucket players.
AB has tried and if we don’t go up has failed due to the abject performances he wanted with the amount of draws.
Turned 2/3 of those piss poor draws into wins and we wouldn’t be in the shit again.I hope they prove me wrong and show some desire in the play offs but very much doubt it on today’s showing.
A very ordinary/poor team beat us today. Says it all.3 users thanked author for this post.
April 18, 2025 at 5:48 pm #302550A half competent manager would have moulded and nurtured a solid team, with a winning mentality. Butler has failed at every hurdle, proved deeply unlikeable, and unable to show contrition and admit mistakes. This is where the largest problems lay.

It does. Much of the passing and control today was woeful. That’s on the players. People crying out for Mo to start. Butler starts him. Looked what happened.

April 18, 2025 at 6:57 pm #302568Team of mercenaries, remember the main reason the majority signed.
Our much-vaunted main striker has missed much of the season and only scored once against one of the top sides
Roberts(pen) FC

April 18, 2025 at 8:43 pm #302593£250k unrecoverable debt and a gutless bunch of mercenaries. Hopefully after this season there’s no more hidden mines

April 18, 2025 at 8:55 pm #302596Just goes to show what a shite job Michelle has done when she’s brought nobody in to improve the team including the manager, and we’re having to rely on some of Hiltons team he assembled, remind me again when did Hilton leave.
April 18, 2025 at 9:23 pm #302598Aye , honouring the contracts a con man handed out to losers while stoppin your mates creditors from shutting the club down.Shes the devil and .You must be so proud of supporting Hilton.like every other moron ,you Stu and the Herbert crew

You must be the only person, along with Hilton, who thinks such twaddle.

Steady DM you know Awaywego doesn’t think.
April 18, 2025 at 10:11 pm #302612Apparent today, as has been for the vast majority of the season is that we are too lightweight in midfield. Scales in particular was absolutely woeful today and gave the ball away every time he received it.

I haven’t seen Scales pass the ball properly for weeks, now.
April 18, 2025 at 10:43 pm #302615Fans have long recognised the need for one player ‘of size’ in CM, Apollo. Scales has his moments but …
On a slightly different track – I wonder how many OOC players will be offered a 40% (or so) pay-cut and will readily accept?
I suspect it may well be more than the fingers on one hand.April 19, 2025 at 2:28 am #302626Got bullied today in midfield by more “tougher” players, not by any means better, just more robust.

April 19, 2025 at 6:45 am #302630As majority of this team is the past era’s whom is happy to let AB assemble a squad for next season with knowledge of what he’s brought in this season to so call make us a better team? Beck and Co!!
Will AB get another go?
I wasn’t impressed him getting the gig, he’s done okay but is limited.
The football has been turgid from the games I’ve managed to see this season.
And the reason I couldn’t muster to go yesterday and from what I witnessed online I can’t be arsed on Monday neither.April 19, 2025 at 6:57 am #302631The improvement in AB since last Autumn has been pretty major.
April 19, 2025 at 7:17 am #302632Players brought in other than Rose have being substandard… for this level, not NL level.
I’d love to know who thought Beck would be a good acquisition? Schofield?
An absolute waste of money.
I knew he wouldn’t score another goal all season. And so it’s transpired. That £65k a month deficit would have been £59k if we’d said ‘no thanks’.
Hopefully there wasn’t a signing on fee or agents fee involved? What’s he had in win bonus money?
Is he injured? If so, what’s the injury?
Or, is it to prevent him hitting an appearance number (say 30 – he’s on 26 NLN appearances) so as a bonus payment doesn’t kick in.
Yes, that does happen.Probably the worst signing since:
The Grate (sic) Kenny Milne – 8 appearances (569 minutes), £5k a week. £520k plus bonuses – nice ‘work’ if you can get it!
Money down the drain in both cases!
April 19, 2025 at 8:34 am #302637At least when Milne played he was majestic
April 19, 2025 at 9:12 am #302641Was he worth £54,834 an hour.
Minimum wages in 2010 was £5.93 an hour.
He was on 10,000 times the minimum wage.Physio’s godsend – they love having one injured! Keeps them (physio) fit!
April 19, 2025 at 9:21 am #302642You failed to tell me all the good things Michelle has done after acquiring the club and getting the ground deal through Deerey, think I must have slept through that.
April 19, 2025 at 12:48 pm #302678Which is already a damn site better than Hilton’s plan of distract fans with shiny things, so they can enjoy football for a quarter of a season, before quitting while he can.

I suspect that may have been down to voices behind the scenes sternly suggesting him to change formation. I should think that coupled with Roberts playing out of his skin for large parts of the season are the two big reasons.
Butler’s insistence on playing that 5 at the back woeful formation and the huge loss of points is what will cost us. Signing Beck didn’t help either. Beck would suit a team who played two strikers and width with plenty of balls in the box, but Butler signed him despite him not even suiting our style of play.
