August 24, 2025 at 10:12 am #310304Not going but like I’ve said on another post fans will be behind him and he will get a great reception.
After that Deerey what’s Maison got to do Deerey to keep the fans backing him 2 way street and all that.August 24, 2025 at 10:47 am #310306Looking forward to it. Weather looks perfect. What’s Maison got to do? Work on dealing with crosses and long balls but focus on his positives, like the two excellent stops in the second half yesterday, and by all accounts guaging his timing like he did when he came way out yesterday but didn’t bottle it and stuck to his guns? According to the commentary.

August 24, 2025 at 2:10 pm #310313Good chance of a 5,000 plus crowd.

August 24, 2025 at 2:34 pm #310315I hope the Board don’t perceive our questioning and analysis of some of their actions as unappreciative of all the good work they and the playing staff are doing. It’s okay and healthy to have both. They can co-exist.

August 25, 2025 at 11:11 am #3103422-0. A goal in each half and a comfortable win.
August 25, 2025 at 11:11 am #3103434,999. I can’t make this one!!
August 25, 2025 at 11:20 am #3103444,998…I can’t make this one as well!!

August 25, 2025 at 11:50 am #310347Head on the block again Deerey or are you quitting while you’re ahead? (Well level anyway) Confidence shattered maybe?
August 25, 2025 at 12:04 pm #310348Given the injuries, I’m not optimistic about today. A decent crowd, but A poor game, a draw or a single goal defeat

Not confident they score less than two today. Sticking for now.
August 25, 2025 at 3:53 pm #310356If I’d of known Beck was playing I would have stayed at home.
We play awful style of football with him in the team.
Silly sending off.Draw is best outcome
August 25, 2025 at 4:31 pm #310357So frustrating to watch. Sutton go down to 10 men on Saturday and are literally all over us for the last 20 minutes of the game. We go down to 10 and can’t get out of our half! Only a matter of time before we’re behind if we carry on like this.
August 25, 2025 at 5:09 pm #310358Tough watch that but dug in well. Always going to be difficult with so many injuries, Horton off and Rose injury. Felt good to get the point

August 25, 2025 at 5:11 pm #310359Love the guts in this side. Mainly the same players as last season – and we are getting more out of them.
Super effort by all the team. MC showing as a bit more relaxed. Good to see.5 users thanked author for this post.
August 25, 2025 at 5:16 pm #310360It’s a good job Halifax were pretty clueless.

Very harsh view point. We were down to 10 after a very quick turnaround with injuries to key players. Also, huge credit to Maison. Will shut up his hecklers and do his confidence the world of good. UTI

August 25, 2025 at 5:28 pm #310363Yep, Campbell did OK today and seemed a bit more composed under high balls (I don’t think Halifax had a shot on target other than the goal though).

August 25, 2025 at 5:30 pm #310365Two thirds of the game with only 10 men.
Squad riddled with injuries.
Great point.
Undefeated.

Some of them. Someone on twitter was demanding Watson to be in goal for the next game.

August 25, 2025 at 5:58 pm #310369Proper sterling effort from the boys this afternoon and a thoroughly deserved point under difficult conditions. Don’t know what Horton was thinking, yes their guy made a meal of it but you cannot raise your hands or elbows whatsoever, silly boy but he will learn from it. Starbuck my MOTM and AB got his subs right, there were a lot of tired bodies out there today, good job guys, great battling point.

August 25, 2025 at 6:03 pm #310370Great battling performance from all the team.
Was Howe injured?
Re Campbell, he had a good safe set of hands today which was great to see. And got a few good pats on the head from his defenders which was thoroughly deserved.
The issue that he has is not is in his handling it’s his setting up/positioning which needs work on. Muzzy!!!
There goal he was set at the front post and struggled to get back to at least the centre of the goal.
So he finds himself rushing back or trying to get himself set which probably doesn’t help him.Was there some aggro on Donny Road?

August 25, 2025 at 6:05 pm #310371Cannot ask more from a Scunthorpe United side than what I saw today- under tough circumstances they were a credit to a man.
Bigleftoe: I honestly don’t know if football’s the sport for you if that’s what you take from today’s game.

August 25, 2025 at 6:12 pm #310372Hard watch that second half – great goal. Didn’t understand taking off Beck who won almost everything in the air which Howe may have benefitted from, and then taking off his two best players (Roberts and Ewing) together. all that being said – in retrospect – a point was a good result bearing in mind that the second half possession stats must have been close to 90-10. Shout out to our keeper though, despite having acquired the habit of falling to the floor when receiving the ball in the air – even from the simplest of deliveries, almost managing to injure himself in the process on one occasion. Andy has intermated that he may have a full squad (-1) for our next games so onwards and upwards – UTI.
