Iron Hour hosting it surely compromises any kind of impartiality from them towards the club? I would say the same if it was Bru hosting it.

It does seem to bring their integrity into question once again.

Hosting official club events, featuring in the promo video for the failed and quite dangerous FC100k farce as well as the their support of David Hilton.

I’m surprised the club have had Barra back really, given all his inappropriate sex jokes while hosting the last SUFC quiz night! Kids were present!

It’s a pretty low rent line up ,like the Chave fest we’ve all forgotten about, perhaps after this the carpet will get another bump. Hope they’ve not thrown away the sweeping brush

Oh dear .. this should be the just full BovD taking direct questions and not “hosted” by this rather tedious bunch of yes men out for a bit of fame n back slapping,…. i did like the Ironhour podcast in its early days but theres been to much bum licking since then and Bax Mellend still makes me gip.

I do still enjoy Gareths match day vlogs.

When will real fans have a voice as with the recently appointed famous 4 hand picked fans group, Maws “look at me” Unity group and now the IHPC its seems its all a bit luvvy dovvy so no real controversial sh8t is throw the way of the BovD.

Iron Hour hosting it surely compromises any kind of impartiality from them towards the club? I would say the same if it was Bru hosting it.

The difference, imho, is that Bru would recognise all of that in advance and not host it, if asked. How can an organisation be credibly able to remain wholly independent and impartial and ask difficult questions when necessary if it is right in the Club’s pocket (which Iron Hour most definitely is). They’re intoxicated by the glamour of enjoying close association, and it’s to their detriment. The lightly media savvy face of happy clapping.

I take it questions have to be pre-submitted and none will be taken from the floor?

Surely such an event has to be chaired and whether you like him or not Tony Gosling is the person most suited I know of,yet the trust seems to have been sidelined

OWS suggests they will be looking to live stream it on YouTube.

Ha ha. Impartiality? Who is impartial at a football club fans event?!

The only impartial punter you’ll find won’t know anything about the subject matter so won’t be there anyway.

The hosts job isn’t to serve up soft questions, it’s to ensure there isn’t bedlam – and also ensure who wants to ask a sensible question can do – it’s not for them to set an agenda, the questions come from the supporters who want to attend, not the compère.

I’m getting the stench of sour grapes and frustrated ambition on this thread…to the extent it’s almost making me gip…..(sorry, that line was used earlier I know).

APB I see nobody with any skin on this bone complaining, so no grapes to sour. Just fans commenting

You’re assuming a lot about people’s motivations, there.

I am gutted that the club wouldn’t let me, an unknown, host a fans’ forum. I really expected they would want me to, with my lack of venue, equipment and recognisability.

I don’t think so. It’s why I was being sarcastic, which I thought was quite obvious.

Sadly cannot make Thursday as I am away for the evening, but I have submitted the below questions to the Iron Hour.

How much did the Weekender cost to put on and how much revenue/profit did it generate for the club? Have all artists/contractors now been paid by the organisers? How much revenue did we lose not having any home friendlies? Why is there a new CCJ (August 25) for £4898 – what is this for, when will it be settled and does a CCJ leave us at risk of a transfer embargo? What can be done to rectify the pitch, which looks to be in a poor state already? Would the FC100k partnership have gone ahead if it wasn’t for the fan backlash?

Presumably if all questions have to be pre-submitted then the IHPC will be responsible for selecting which questions get asked, and perhaps more importantly, which don’t.
The questions they select will likely confirm or dispel any concerns raised in this thread about impartiality.
Come to think of it a request for a full list of all submitted questions to be published seems reasonable. With the technology available these days they could allow everyone to ‘upvote’ the questions they most want answered and make it a true fans forum.

CCJs… who’s that to and what for – tuts, shakes head and ambles off in disbelief. I thought we’d seen the back of those days.

Another pr own goal by the club.

Why on earth haven’t they chosen an impartial party to host this thing?

It seems Iron Hour have been taken in by the opportunity to stooge for the club, the same as they were with Hilton.

I’m already fully clenched at one of the non-football questions I’ve seen. I might have to give this one a miss and listen to the highlights.

Getting very tedious. The Iron Hour crew are insufferable and I’m getting fed up of the cock swinging. In my opinion the club should not allow either podcast access to the players for interviews or to host such events.

    Getting very tedious.

Yep, but it’s not going to change anytime soon.
Maybe they hope two wins will give them an easy ride on the night.
