1st Round draw
SCUNTHORPE UNITED V SOLIHULL MOOR
Any thoughts ???
October 26, 2020 at 7:34 pm #196664If we can manage to be bottom of the league after Saturday we might get on the telly with BBC fancying an upset. Could do with some TV money.
October 26, 2020 at 7:41 pm #196665Right on Ironawe then we could all go down the pub and watch.
October 26, 2020 at 8:11 pm #196668I think Jamie ward signed for them, could he come back and bite us on the a***??,at least we are at home
October 26, 2020 at 10:29 pm #196673Usually a team near the top of a League are often better than a team that are bottom in the League above theirs.
Solihull Moors are certainly no duds, they beat Wrexham 4-0 on Saturday in the final qualifying round.
It has a good chance of being on TV, because as you say Iron-awe, there will be a chance of an upset (by that I mean a Scnny win ha ha!).
October 27, 2020 at 8:06 pm #196714Would we have to forfeit the game if we still have it seeing it is still less than 2 weeks away.
October 27, 2020 at 10:38 pm #196719We should be ok with this Mick, the 14th day is on the Monday of the weekend when games are scheduled to be played, in fact I think that there is normally a game on the Monday, it could even be on TV !!!, it could even be in place of Coronation Street, a similar type of show.
October 27, 2020 at 10:47 pm #196721Yes Mick we would have to withdraw like notts county did, Neil Ardsley believes 75% of the teams in the cup at the weekend would each have 3 or 4 players with covid, but his team like ours are been punished for doing the right thing in testing and states like I have been saying “ignorence is not bliss”.

Just like Orient losing out on their League Cup game against Spurs. Crazy.

so on the Saturday it is inside the 14 days, also not a cats in hell chance it will be on Television.
November 7, 2020 at 12:19 pm #197020Seems like we wouldn’t have had to withdraw after all,Barrow v Wimbledon just postponed because of covid, must be different rules for league clubs, wouldn’t it be nice if we just saw a little bit more consistency.
