Why is nobody worried about the poor performances since Watson left, this new guy’s supposed better distribution is a fallacy,
November 22, 2025 at 7:34 pm #313484High-lightig space to run into and ability to get onto and control plays from the back were poor, combined with poor distribution (only exception was the throw out to the left late on) meant the ball’s given away far too cheaply.
Chicken and egg – none of the recent keepers first reaction on taking the ball is to look for an immediate play out and players don’t make the runs because the ball never comes.November 22, 2025 at 7:51 pm #313485Why is nobody worried about the poor performances since Watson left, this new guy’s supposed better distribution is a fallacy,
The performances have been poor, the keepers performances have not. I don’t recall seeing any comments re comparitive distribution, are you just poking the hornets nest?
November 22, 2025 at 8:32 pm #313489I formed this opinion watching football not comparative comment
November 22, 2025 at 9:00 pm #313492So who suggested that Mahady’s distribution was better?
November 22, 2025 at 9:16 pm #313494He would have kept a clean sheet today but for a suicidal back pass that was out of his control, I think for a young keeper he has done ok so far.

November 23, 2025 at 10:10 am #313518I’d say that the elephant in the room is the fact that we’ve only scored two goals in November thus far!

Just seen it back on YouTube and the goal is not really down to Mahady. Fair play to Starbuck, he immediately tried to make amends with a cracking effort at the other end.
November 23, 2025 at 12:00 pm #313534Watson would’ve got hammered for some of that distribution yesterday.
November 23, 2025 at 12:24 pm #313537He’s what we’ve got – support him.
Would Watsons distribution have been better?
Would Watson have saved that penalty?
We’ll never know, as I said, he’s what we’ve got.November 23, 2025 at 1:51 pm #313540He’s what we’ve got – support him.

We’ll never know, as I said, he’s what we’ve got.if only Watson and others were allowed such luxury
November 23, 2025 at 2:29 pm #313545When it comes to goalies your not really the person to take note of 64, the goalie you didn’t support last season is now the regular number 1 at Northampton that’s 3 leagues above where he was when you dissed him on a regular basis.
