Rene must be creaming in his y-fronts!

June 9, 2025 at 7:04 pm #305622If he fails, it is Rene’s fault, but could be a good signing

If Rene ever goes to a fancy dress party in naval uniform his alter ego will be Seaman Stains.

June 9, 2025 at 8:18 pm #305631AWESOME!
SIMPLY AWESOME!
Dan & Dec.June 9, 2025 at 9:27 pm #305644Would have had a better ring to it if we’d signed Anthony from Man Utd!

More chance of signing Adam Ant

June 10, 2025 at 7:28 am #305661As WG and numerous others have stated many times before, we need an enforcer for CM. In addition, we need a creative midfielder who can unlock defences for Dan & Dec to exploit.
I’m thinking Stan may be thinking of playing JoeD in midfield?, he’s played there before.
If CR10 re-signs then that’ll be like signing a new player. Fingers crossed on that one.
If we can unearth someone of a similar ilk to CR10 for the other side then we’ll be offensively potent. For 2026/27?
Callum Howe – he’d be a great accusation for us at this level. Knows it (the level) and has done it before.
He’s obviously a big part in York’s plans – but if he became available. Twice named in the National League ‘Team of the Year’ – one to bring back when his contract expires?Lewis Butroid, under contract for 2025/26 but we should keep an eye on him this season. He had a cracker for Trinity in 2024/25.

I can’t see CR signing, and I think Declan Howe is the player Butler has acquired to more-or-less step into his boots. I was feeling quite down about Roberts, and the impact his loss might have on United next season, but after last night’s news I’m not worried.
June 10, 2025 at 7:59 am #305664Proof positive that AB spends a large portion of his life on Bru?

Ant & Dec.

We are after all, the 12th man.
June 10, 2025 at 9:06 am #305673Dec’s goalscoring talents are many and varied.
On the Cod ‘ed video, he also scored a significant number of goals as a consequence of seriously shocking defending by defences and GKs.
He will only find a tiny fraction of such dross in the NL.
No reason why he can’t get 15 to 20 this coming season – his close control and first touch will probably condemn Carlton to the bench and have Dec as a regular starter.
The option to play Carlton as an attacking wide player is possible, of course – a role with which he will be pretty familiar.1 user thanked author for this post.

He might score 15 – 20 for us and that could probably be considered a good NL season for him. You never know, though.
June 10, 2025 at 9:15 am #305676Definitely an element of risk with the signing, however with Whitehall staying it’s one that’s worth rolling the dice for.

June 10, 2025 at 9:20 am #305680Certainly going to meet sterner defences. If he bags more than 15 I think that’s a decent success. Carlton wide sounds sensible

June 10, 2025 at 9:21 am #305681No risk now Danny’s signed he can’t be any worse than Beck so many options now we’ll pleased at the moment.

June 10, 2025 at 9:22 am #305682It’s all about stepping up isn’t it though, remember Dec will be stepping up two divisions, obviously we all want him to hit the ground running but patience amongst the fanbase could well be required.

June 10, 2025 at 12:47 pm #305707I must admit that I wasn’t awfully struck on his penalty-taking.

If you recall les Whitehall’s first ever penalty for us at home was a shocker but he improved after that, I’m guessing Dec will be down the pecking order for penalty taking.
June 10, 2025 at 1:36 pm #305714Vardy lept up 3 levels back in the day.
Psycho Pearce made the leap from L6 to L1
June 10, 2025 at 3:27 pm #305718I saw a number of penalties and most seemed to be being read by the GK.
June 10, 2025 at 3:56 pm #305721Rene’s dream partnership.
Dec and Beck
He was not quite as fanatical about this signing as a certain other poster was about Mully all them years ago
