What exactly is he here for? He’s had so much good will from Iron fans and consistently lets us down.I can’t see the point of putting him in when we need it to stick up top late in games when the opposition throws the kitchen sink at us .Sadly not good enough

Totally agree. Said it before – our impact subs are invariable negative. Carlton has the first touch and dexterity of a JCB as evidenced by his one on one opportunity late in today’s game. Please move him on to a NLN team where he might be at his true level.

Carlton and Dec will probably be shipped out to get game time with another forward arriving next week

Dec has promise and his efforts should be applauded and he looks dangerous,he’ll learn to get shots off quicker and deserves more time . Carlton’s had his chance and fluffed ut

Surely we need to keep either Dec or Carlton plus another forward in, we have just binned two forwards either back to their clubs or out on loan till May?, any injuries to Whitehall and we are short on decent forward cover.

Carlton is crap, he should only be on the pitch when desperate not when an iPad says we need a sub on

Mad to think in the last calendar year if you took the final two games out where he hardly played any minutes he had scored 16 goals which was similar to Whitehall and Roberts. He also often pops up with the odd important goal when we need it.

Carlton struggles trying to play as a centre forward. He has a poor first touch and is not great in the air.
He has genuine pace, works his ass off and is OK at covering defensively.
Ideal attributes for a wide forward.
Why do we keep playing him/bringing on as a centre forward?

You need to ask Andy about that. When you do, ask why having predominately played 433 and the odd 442 which has got us 50pts and 6th in league is he trying such as 4321 and playing to cope with the opposition !

    Don’t understand it.

Played well as a centre forward today from the bench. If only he could sustain some consistency.

Was very lively when he came on, scored a good goal and continued causing the FG defence problems right up to full time, well done Carlton, really chuffed for you lad.
