Looks like NLC have put the main car park at Glanford Park up for sale. Would surely be a big blow to SUFC’s match day parking income and cause traffic chaos every other week.

Interesting -;I’d think the relationship between club and council is good enough that this would be a planned and agreed move, so possibly some contingencies on place, and suspect a sale would be far from quick?

Look forward to the full details from a club comment and see what the deal is.

Up to the club now to put a bid in and redevelop, they’ve been after income streams what better than property rentals especially for the old folk, good payers either them or the state.
Thought it was all part of the deal in the ground purchase.

What a disaster – we cannot afford a new stadium. How mucg is the land worth? How mucg does the club pay NLC for theuse of the ground for a car park? How much does the club make out of car parking? The big question and most important – where are all the cars, which currently use the car park, going to park on match day? Guinnes straight already gets well used as does the Tesco/B&q and M & Scar parks.

Maybe the club will put the transport links in they said they would do before moving out of town.
Not a single dedicated bus up to now, unlike at many other clubs with out of town grounds.

Maybe if we ask the council nicely they can help facilitate a move to a new modern stadium. They can then redevelop the whole site as well as the car park. Worked well for Hull.

Wasn’t the training ground earmarked to be the new car park and maybe Quibell to be the training ground???

Tesco car park is not controlled by Tesco. It is for Tesco shoppers only and does have cameras recording entry / exit .

People may be subject to overstaying – then penalty notices will start to arrive.

My understanding is current training pitch to parking and Quibell Park new training complex.

Wasn’t this always on the cards when NLC bought the ground? A decent sized piece of land they can sell on.

Thing is with crowds at 4000 and not the traditional 2500 it’s a problem.

Stagecoach have extended the 350(Barton bus)To the retail park, can’t see that lasting long.

Weston-Super-Mares got the plans approved for their new stadium and housing development that will ensure the long term funding of the club and the community going forward. (On Fan banter). Very similar layout to our ground and training pitch with the building land much in the same place as ours uncanny really.
If they can do it then why not us.

You know nothing worth having comes easy.
Surely all scunny fans realise that, doesn’t mean it’s unattainable though.
Look forward to seeing you at the wreath making workshop on Friday lol.
