I hope he’s got an on-board de-fib.

March 26, 2025 at 8:40 am #300668March 26, 2025 at 11:53 am #300685I wonder whether the Smoking Goat fella’s out pouring of information about the FC100000 deal pissed those off behind the scenes and as a result they’ve axed him ?
If it wasn’t for him and then McCartney that questionable deal would have been pushed through. The supposedly transparent board would have quite happily signed off on that without a single fan knowing.

March 26, 2025 at 12:06 pm #300689My understanding was that he pulled the plug himself. Though I don’t know if that’s fact or not.
March 26, 2025 at 12:09 pm #300690Either way it doesn’t matter. He did everyone a favour by putting the information out there (even in the manner he did), and in doing so I suspect he has actually been far more honest than anyone else in this situation. I suspect he also still knows more than he has let on.
Those people on Facebook claiming the trauma and turmoil of Sunday and Monday were down to Iron Bru deliberately shit-stirring are complete and utter fools.
March 26, 2025 at 12:13 pm #300692I don’t think vendettas against Bru forum and podcast will go away soon. Which is a huge shame when key reps from all three fans groups including Bru, Trust and Iron Hour are able to present a united front to the Board like they did this week.

March 26, 2025 at 12:14 pm #300693Anyway, good luck to Smoking Goat and, more importantly, good luck to this Brads outfit. Let’s see how it goes.

I don’t think there’s a vendetta, I think there’s just a general ‘whipping boy’ thing going on. Iron Hour are mouthy top boys who are riding their luck and the novelty wave of public interest. They had a very close escape with Gareth this week.
March 26, 2025 at 12:18 pm #300695Good luck to all involved and all those that where involved.
Catering, for whatever reason(s), seems to be a large poisoned chalice.

They bemoan the Bru for hostility, but these people seem the most hostile and bitter. They love to whip up hate against anyone who questions their narrative, like with Hilton and now seemingly this, but any attempt to question something to do with the club is ‘stirring up hornets’ nests’.
Stamp did help a lot in joining dots with what went on, but I think it would have come out before completion anyway given FC100,000 did their own leak and announcement, which would have reached Scunny fans, I think. It was solvable as to what club was in their own promo, which wasn’t put together on the back of Stamp. Not taking anything away from Stamp there.

March 26, 2025 at 12:42 pm #300702Tend to do agree with that take Siderite.
March 26, 2025 at 1:38 pm #300707It seems it will be difficult for any external caterer to turn over a decent profit whilst the facilities exist in their current state.
The hospitality in particular is nowhere near adequate.

Cutting right through to the nub of it, then, who is going to pay for all of the equipment to be brought up to standard? The Club, or whoever happens to be running the food?
Has this been a serious source of contention between the Club and its previous catering partners? Comments in the past would suggest it has.

The food has not been very good in the restaurant this season – and, in fact, has been that bit worse since Henry’s Bar took over.
March 26, 2025 at 3:26 pm #300719Brad’s have posted their pie and peas option. I would.

Prior to this year you would presume the burden falls on the club as they owned the facilities, not sure how it would work now the CIC own the stadium/land.

Wouldn’t go again after we experienced lukewarm beans, sausages and hash browns for a hospitality meal last year. It wasn’t too long after the takeover so there is some leeway to give but it was just a poor experience all round.
There is a guy who goes around testing the hospitality at various clubs around the country (the padded seat) many of the Clubs further down the pyramid put us too shame.
When we do get in a more stable footing it’s an area we have to invest in.
March 26, 2025 at 9:43 pm #300826Is traditional hospitality a dated concept? ‘Upmarket’ sports bar type setting up with light bites might be the way forward.

As we all know, years ago Jase Oxenforth did such like.
One of many unceremoniously culled by Swann & iMacRodwell.
I believe he’s involved at BTFC these days.March 29, 2025 at 10:07 pm #301186How was the scran?

Got slated by one of Hilton’s Heroes, so it was probably decent
March 30, 2025 at 8:55 am #301203I bought a pie,had to remind the girl serving about the peas also no gravy ,neither were very hot .It was good pie mind you.
Service poor though and the cardboard carton it was in wasn’t strong enough to allow me to cut the thick crust with a wooden fork.6/10 food ok but needs work on service. The carton split and I got peas all over my hands. ., the staff also needed reminding about a lid on my hot drink.
1st day teething trouble have not stopped me buying again as someone who didn’t like the previous caterer I’m just happy to get my pie and Bovril againMarch 30, 2025 at 10:37 am #301211So, due to the sub standard packaging, you pead yourself?

March 30, 2025 at 11:30 pm #301275Went at half time to the kiosk to try out the sausage rolls. None left. People ordering burgers and waiting for them to be cooked. 3 or 4 staff only and run of their feet.
Chaotic would best describe it.
Don’t know how a Club like ours year after year cannot sort catering out.
This lot needs a lot of improvement after what I experienced on SaturdaySeptember 11, 2025 at 8:38 am #311071 -
