One out of three ain’t bad for you BLT, don’t rate the keeper don’t rate the home shirt but quite like the away shirt, well done. As for me, it’s just another bloody shirt, get on with it.

Seems to have gone down well.

Suspect they will sell far more than the home shirt.

Whilst i remain split on my view of both home and away shirts and the jury is still out im more bothered about whats inside the shirt and how then knit as a team unit, yes its a huge part of the commercial side of the SUFC business but for me they could play in claret n blue tatty sacks and wear flowery hats so long as they play entertaining progressive WINNING footy.

IMO squad looking better after Rose signing but still a tad unbalanced and very concerned about the 2 keepers we appear to be “happy” to start the season with.

A combative holding midfielder be a good addition, though still got a worrying eye on CD ..Evans and Jean B should start with Boyce on bench but an injury would leave us short in that area.

Like the launch video but will be honest not the most imaginative of designs for either strip.

Maybe they’ll be doing the Resurrection Shuffle?, hands up if you remember that one.

I love the away shirt and will be getting one. Re ‘Bri’ unless something has happened in the last two weeks he appeared to be OK ( but not in the best of health) two weeks back at Alkborough cricket. UTWI

    Au contraire Rodney!

Too much use of the imagination methinks.

Spot on cass, bit of a one hit wonder but a banging tune back then, Tom Jones had a go at it but the AGD version was the best IMO.

Can anyone remember when football kits were designed so you could tell the teams apart from the back of the stands on a grey December afternoon, rather than for the catwalk or to placate the casuals before they hit the bars of Benidorm?

Remember that classic 1969/70 season? That strip really fired up the imagination.

Never really get this kit over analysis, there are only so many different designs and patterns they can come up with and inevitably the popular ones are very similar or a close rehash to what has been popular in the past, which begs the question why change it that often but of course it’s down as usual to money. A kit is a kit is a kit, more fool the people who get worked up about a new shirt every season and parting with £48 as easy as pie. Just buy the bloody thing if you need one that bad, wear it and shut the f*** up moaning about nothing, as per usual.

I don’t remember any kits before 1976. What was it like?

Have to agree. Sometimes wish we still played in red, to be honest.

I think all the red kits were decent. I particularly liked the Bukta and Adidas ones

Certainly do remember Suggs! I think you could get just about anything there.

When I played for Gurnell St U11s our shirts were red with white collar and cuffs. Buttoned collar and buttoned cuffs mind you. Made by Bukta I think.

Double thickness cotton, reversible. So if there was a colour clash you turned your shirt inside out, making our “away shirt” white with red collar and cuffs.

    And when they got wet!

I reckon I got my plastic footballs from Suggs, wow that is going back a long way. When they eventually shut the owner moved to London to form Madness, lol.
