Could we be heading for a photo finish between Chester, Kidderminster and Scunny?
The AI final table predictor now has us pipping Curzon by a point to be crowned Champions.
Phew… we’ll take that!
To me, the wheels seem to have come off at Curzon?
February 16, 2025 at 7:59 am #299051Na .. give yer head a wobble Rene anyone in the top 6 or 7 could still win the title .. yer forgetting Brackley and Chorley who bang in form lately

February 16, 2025 at 8:40 am #299053More closer and as a result more exciting race than last season, it’s going down to the wire as they say and we are very much involved and looking as strong as any other side in the chase.

February 16, 2025 at 11:32 am #299066Should have been a one horse race!

Shoulda woulda coulda are the last words of a fool, according to Beverley Knight.
February 19, 2025 at 3:32 pm #299199Down to a 2 horse race (possibly) after last night’s results.

A little too early to say that, imho.

February 19, 2025 at 3:44 pm #299203Agreed. We’ve all seen that anyone can beat anyone in this league.
Consistency ain’t in anyone’s recipe.
We seem to be back on the bridle and hopefully kick on in the remaining games.February 19, 2025 at 4:56 pm #299205Your horse has bolted early Rene
February 19, 2025 at 5:03 pm #299207Until we have won it we haven’t won it.
100% concentration required for next 14 games. Stick to what is working and make them deal with us. Buckle up going to be interesting.

February 19, 2025 at 6:28 pm #299210For me, it’s still a little more than a three horse race. The stats in our favour are we have lost fewer games than anybody else, scored more ( just) and conceded less. For me however, we haven’t won enough games. Last year Tamworth won 29 and we have won 17, against Chester’s 19 wins and Brackley’s and Buxton’s 18. Kings Lynn have won 16. Kiddy , Curzon, Chorley and Hereford have all won 15. We definitely have to not lose to the other teams in this mix we have left to play and beat everybody else. And that will be good enough for a play off spot! Beat Chester, Kiddy and our bogey team Buxton and we should be champions! The week we play Kiddy and Buxton away will be a big week!

February 19, 2025 at 6:53 pm #299211Never thought the day would come where our bogey team is Buxton.

It’s vital that we win all 2,742 of our remaining games this season.

March 12, 2025 at 6:12 am #299824Withdrawals & supplements seem to be the order of the day.
A number of clubs have made the running but then veer wide at the inconsistency turn and drop back.
We will very quickly be entering the final furlong; hopefully we’ve not peaked too early and have the stamina to win this grand national (north).
The old girl is going well under the young trainer Stan Butler.
On The Buses? – Is it too early to book the bus for Stan’s victory tour?Scunthorpe 13/8
Brackley Town 9/4Chester 4/1
Curzon Ashton 10/1
Kidderminster 12/1Chorley 20/1
March 19, 2025 at 11:03 am #300053Well and truly a four horse race now.
April 10, 2025 at 6:59 am #301992Scunny, Kiddy, Brackly left?
Chester blobbed.
4 weeks ago you (anyone) could have got 12/1 on Kiddy.
Does anyone know how many different teams have topped the league this season? I’m guessing 5?
In this anyone can beat anyone else league, I think it’ll go to the last game of the season. Great for sponsors.
I read / saw something earlier today that said that the NLN & NLS are the most open, competitive leagues in world football.
Tight for the crown and also the play off places:
Championship odds going in to the games on Sat 10th April 2025:
Scunthorpe 5/4
Kidderminster 5/2
Brackley Town 7/2April 10, 2025 at 8:20 am #301993Favourites? Us?
Huh?April 10, 2025 at 8:44 am #301994We are where we are because of over elaboration instead of doing the basics correctly and keeping things as simple as possible.
April 10, 2025 at 8:57 am #301995No excuses now. Go out and win all four.
Kidderminster fans think they’ve got it sewn up, hope that arrogance is shared by their players.April 10, 2025 at 11:02 am #302000Brackley have never won at Leamington’s New windmill ground in twelve attempts, obviously a bogie ground for them.
Lucky 13 anyone.April 10, 2025 at 11:32 am #302003Let’s hope so. Almost a local derby for them.

April 13, 2025 at 8:47 pm #302191I think if we can turn over the Linnets on Fri the the momentum swings our way. I still think that it will be winner takes all at Hereford on 26th.
Iron on Tour again !1 user thanked author for this post.
April 21, 2025 at 10:37 pm #303028The Iron horse has shed its saddlery and is now a distant 3rd.
Kiddy & Brakly head to the last obstacle in tandem, with both looking strong.
It could still go to a photo finish?
April 22, 2025 at 11:23 am #303063The Irons most favourable route to promotion is thus.
We finish 3rd so guaranteed a home semi final… which we win
Brackley loose in their semi final to whoever it is
At that point Scunny being the highest place in the league would have a home final which we could win who ever it is … rather than having to go away to Brackley
I have not been on moon dust just my opinion.
April 22, 2025 at 11:57 am #303067If we end up away in the final we’re probably screwed, even if we turn in to West Ham.
April 22, 2025 at 2:05 pm #303075If we end up away in the final we’re probably screwed, even if we turn in to West Ham.
Well done DM nowt wrong with your eyesight as you spotted my deliberate mistake …. i do agree cant see us winning away in the play offs so my route is our best option and not out of the realms of possibilty.
Be very interesting come 5pm Saturday when the play off teams n order are known. -
