After 18 games we’re currently averaging 2 points per game, which if you said to me before the season started that’s what we’d be doing, I’d have suggested you were drinking the Kool-Aid.

2 points per game usually gets you in and around the automatic promotion hunt, but the NL currently has 6 teams averaging this and above! Looking at other divisions with teams currently averaging 2ppg game:

Premier League: 2 teams
Championship: 1 team
League 1: 2 teams
League 2: 0 teams
National League: 6 teams

Just shows how competitive and how well teams are performing in the top 6 of the NL. Hopefully we can keep up with this pack but the cracks have definitely been starting to show these past couple of weeks, which makes me fear we’ll be the first of these 6 to start fading away from the promotion hunt.

Sadly i think you are correct. 4 of our strikers are just at this level against average/poor sides (Whitehall, Howe, Carlton, Dawson) 1 is this level (Roberts) and 1 is above this level (T-F). And that is where we fall down, we wont score enough to go up. Thankfully it will be enough to stay up. Which is all we wanted in Aug, so enjoy.
