Why not go even further TW and ask the question why did God allow all the millions of Jews to be killed in the concentration camps? There that’s more hard hitting. I certainly don’t know why but I do know he had a morally sufficient reason for doing so.
The number one evil act was the killing of his only Son on the Cross,Jesus Christ.God was doing it for good even though the people responsible were doing it for evil. Gods decree is being seen in time and with God being the ultimate standard of good we can be assured he has morally sufficient reasons for evil to occur even though he is not the author of these evil acts.To explain these things to a person who is hostile to God in rebellion is futile and the only thing I can say is reach out and ask for God to come into your life ( he is rich in mercy and will welcome you with open arms)
