Heath is right BS, the majority of immigrants pay taxes and I’d argue the reason you can’t get to see a dentist is that the government hasn’t invested enough in services to cope with population increase. Now you may say there’s no money left and it’s the fault of immigrant over population but the fact is an increased population generates more taxes and production, so you ought to be asking why services and sufficient housing hasn’t been increased to meet demand. Add to that, it’s estimated that the UK population will have decreased by 1m in the last 12 months, for various, so 20,000 Afghan refugees over 5 years shouldn’t make a difference. The irony about the 1m decrease is that a proportion are EU residents leaving, taking the taxes and spending with them, making the country poorer! This whole thing about the UK bring overpopulated is a red herring. It’s just excuse for governmental failure. And this isn’t about a left or right wing view, it’s basic facts and economics.
