Don’t worry, I’m not staying. No idea who “Big Joke” is, but it certainly isn’t me if that’s what’s being implied.
People can claim what I say is tedious and/or ridiculous. Ultimately, facts are facts and the facts are that people simply won’t be prepared to pay the inevitable costs of trying to get to net zero. There’s nothing complicated about this, just very straightforward arithmetic when you actually delve into the costs involved.
I’d say there’s pretty much zero chance that net zero will happen. What’s more it doesn’t need to. The claims being made about climate change are becoming more and more absurd. The world isn’t going to end as Greta likes to claim and we’re not going to be submerged by massive sea level rises.
There are perfectly sound natural reasons to explain what’s happening with the weather and climate, but they don’t attract massive funding. Either way the facts will play out.
