I repeat, if you had not paid National Insurance contributions you would have no State pension now so that’s a no brainer even for a numpty to spot. You earned money abroad and paid no income tax on it in this country, that’s why you went abroad in the first place, higher pay, no tax paid over here. All people spend money in this country who live here but have paid tax on their income first, you used OUR system to grow up, get an education then you ran away to earn tax free money abroad. You are not a Patriot you are a fraud IMO. Two faced with double standards, just about sums you up.
The same could be said for all other migrants to these shores surely? Are the Indians, Poles and Nigerians who moved here moving abroad to get higher pay so they can’t contribute to their home countries? Does it make them “so called patriots?” Does it make them wrong for wanting to do what’s best for them?
I get the hypocrisy of BS bemoaning immigrants to these shores, but he was surely within his right to seek work abroad without being made out to be some sort of traitor for not contributing to our tax system. I don’t see how BS can bemoan others like him moving here for similar reasons as to why he moved abroad, but I don’t see how framing it as BS moving abroad and betraying the tax system helps, since this can be thrown at the immigrants who move here.
