we do not have work,
We have plenty of work! Ask anybody in the food production industry, farming or hospitality, they are crying out for workers because entitled, benefit scrounging Brits won’t get off their fat arses and do this type of work!
Part of the reason why such work isn’t done by Brits is because conditions are poor and one thing a history of some unionisation did was give Brits a feeling that they don’t deserve to be treated badly. In eastern Europe, where unionisation isn’t so ingrained, poor conditions, long hours and low pay isn’t so much of a big deal to them.
I don’t think this is an entirely bad thing from our perspective. I don’t think we should accept poor standards for the benefit of employers and nor should migrant workers, to be fair.
Food factory conditions are not poor, they are necessary, most food factories involve working in cold conditions as the food obviously needs to be kept below a certain temperature, thats no fault of the business owner. Poor pay is nonsense as we have a minimum wage in place nowadays and long hours are also a thing of the past as you cannot be forced to work more than 48 hours in a week, I am sorry but there is absolutely NO excuse for any able bodied person to be not working in this Country, even the bigots cannot spout the old excuse of “its them foreigner’s nickin our jobs” they have no excuse anymore not to be working!
