Northumb, I hope that you are not expecting me to use my vote on the Lib-Dems or Green party, christ the Conservatives are bad enough, but with the present Labour party, that is my only choice.
What’s wrong with voting for a centrist party, or indeed an ecological party if you think “the Conservatives are bad enough” and you believe the Labour Party too far left?
Your problem, which is that that of many who post on here (parodies or not), is that you will not vote for change.
You want the country to be like is was in the _____ (insert decade of choice). But it never will be because everything changes with the passage of time.
Big J wants to see Spitfires over the White Cliffs of Dover and pictures of the Queen in every home.
It’s not going to happen, because the world is ever changing. What people should be voting for is to enable this change to be for the better, not to make lives, particularly those of the disadvantaged, worse. Which is what we’re going to get with this present shower, as they put their mates in the top jobs, or hand them out lucrative contracts. Whilst telling Joe Public “we’re all this together!”
Boris puts on a Punch & Judy show whilst Sunak the Artful Dodger sneaks round the back of the audience picking their pockets. Not to give to the poor, but to waste on HS2 and brokering Brexit deals that may or may not be almost as good as the ones we had before. Or maybe even to decorate his flat!
But hey! Keep voting for them because Labour is full of Communists, and you haven’t bothered looking at what any of the other parties represent.
It’s what the Tories want you to do.
Hopefully younger voters will think otherwise.
