Before this becomes pedantic I believe there are plenty of things that are still not fair in today’s world but rules are in place for people being paid the correct rate for a job and you don’t need activism to put that right just the law enforcing properly because the rules have already been passed. Voices can still be heard in a centrist party and still are but major social injustice doesn’t exist to the extent of say 50 years ago for example. There are rights for gay people there are rules for pay rates and union law, which Tories have and still do try to change to the detriment of movement’s members,these are only a parliament bill away from being rederessed. Out and out activism is not the way the modern day electorate in this country see things IMO. Yes we still need change and fairness in certain areas but most of the major reform regarding gross unfairness has been sorted, certainly since the sixties and seventies, I’m sure you can quote me things NI which remain and I except there will be some but major change has come socially between our generation and our parents.
