A: It is pathetic because, although it may well have started as a nice act of solidarity, it has now been going on far too long.
But racism has been going on far too long! Solidarity is just a temporary thing is it?
B: It could be replaced with an armband, worn on the left arm so as not to be confused with recent deaths etc.
A reasonable suggestion, but would that carry the BLM logo? In the end would it not just be the same as the “knee”?
I am fully aware that racism and injustice exists. But so does many other types of injustice, including bullying, trolling, modern day slavery etc.
I agree. And the bullying/trolling on social media is something else that footballers are currently having to put up with. If you support this then why not support taking the knee?
I do give a damn, but obviously not to the extent that some of you do.
If you give a damn then you should make your voice heard. If you hide away and ignore what’s going on then you’re an accomplice.
C: No, and I can’t see myself doing so any time soon.
You should. The researchers want to hear from both sides. You can’t moan that your views are not being listened to if you refuse to be part of the survey.
Thank you. At least you took time out to answer my questions, unlike some I could mention!
