So there we have it. Those like the BJ character think they are the silent majority who are not being listened to.
Playing victim, another gaslighting tactic.
Back in the 60s & 70s that may have been true, but with every year that passes the former majority becomes the minority.
As the baby boomers die and the generation x become middle aged and set in their ways, it’s the millennials that hold the trump cards (no pun intended).
They are now the biggest consumer group, so do you really expect advertising not to be geared up to that demographic?
And your last paragraph shows how little you know about history and what an uphill task some of us educators face!
