Those forms were the inevitability of being outside the Single Market. We tried telling you, but all we got was ‘project fear’ and ‘they need us more than we need them, so will cave in to weakening their markets to suit us.’ They haven’t, and as such red tape is an inevitability. It is not about ‘punishing’ us, but ensuring their markets are integral. If they neglected such and allowed us to operate along Single Market terms it would render it useless, so they need extra paperwork for such.
Of course, none of this will matter to you, who will just damn this as some leftist out for socialist utopia (LOL!)*, while you make out anyone who disagrees with you is trying to portray you in an equally unfair light. You shameless hypocrite.**
The UK is now bottom of the G7 for economic growth. We have only just started outside the EU, so it’s too early to judge economic predictions. You told us there would be no border in Ireland, that trade would not be an issue and that the deal over fishing was great. A few weeks later and you pivot to save face.*** Why should we trust you then?
*Despite me not being some socialist.
**I expect this to turn into a self-pitying whine about how I am being like Gurnelista for calling you such, despite you straw manning me and attacking my values above. Anyone to the left of Reagan is seemingly the coming of Che Guevara, but leftists must take care in grouping conservatives, otherwise they’re displaying disregard for others. It’s always one way and not the other.
***A few weeks ago you mocked me for saying that Brexiters would turn against this deal once the ‘owning the libs’ over getting a deal would wear off. You said it was bitter. A few weeks later, here, you prove my point. I must admit I am impressed at how quick the turnaround is. I thought it would be maybe a year, but a matter of weeks is astonishing.
