A feeble response Bucks. The point about freedom of travel in the Shengen zone means bands and other touring arts groups have one less thing which costs time and money to sort out, which could be otherwise spent on the artistic side. It’s hard enough as it is to prosper in the UK as a young musician, artist or performer. Why do you think arts organisations are up in arms about this?
I thought leaving the EU was supposed to make life easier and better? So are you now saying that was a lie? Not exactly having your cake and eating it is it? All this unnecessary restriction is doing is reducing quality of life in the UK (less performers coming here from the EU and more obstacles and barriers for the performing arts). In other words ‘a crock of s****’.
And btw, I’m fully aware of studio costs in the past and the fact that many have closed due to being able to produce studio quality at home. Why do you always have to be so patronising? And what the hell has this got to do with travel issues?
