I admit it could be a misunderstanding, but given the sensitivities of the situation I am not happy being lumped in with an autocrat. Quite frankly, I find your arrogance and constant attempts to slander anyone who disagrees with you unbecoming. I agree that labelling Brexiters as racist or xenophobic is too broad brush, which you don’t like, but don’t afford charity for remainers.
For the hard of thinking, there is a big difference between calling for a referendum again and idiots shouting rigged at one. There were some remainers who said the vote was null and void because of fraud. They were not as common and didn’t represent the majority. Those who did were being silly.
What’s more you don’t allow charity for the misinterpretation, because you don’t think anything could be wrong with your tone or argument. There could be fruitful debate on this, because I don’t think arguments made by those who thought the 2016 referendum was inherently void (and there are some) are good. However, you are lumping everyone together, because you have no time for anyone who has a difference in opinion to your pre-conceived acceptable points. Therefore, it is impossible to debate with you. And that is what I find pathetic.
Before you start whining about how unfair this is, look at yourself in the damn mirror just for once, before you accuse everyone else of being duplicitous. I can admit that maybe I went a bit too far in the interpretation, but please remember that some have made this comparison and any association between such is sensitive. Feel free to not care, but don’t expect cordial behaviour in return.
As for the EU behaving as they expected. Yes, because as said time and time again, they’re not going to give us preferential access to their markets when we want no part of it. Expect tariffs if we diverge from agreements, because we are no longer part of the Single Market. Faults over this are not wholly theirs, and it’s this which leads me to believe that Brexiters will soon be whining about how we need to move away further from this deal because it’s not good enough.
