I am not blind to the faults of the EU, and do not pretend otherwise. It’s bureaucratic, awfully weak on threats like Russia and I can see the argument over sovereignty; the problem is that the alternatives are not proven to be better and the events since the referendum show that to be the case. Disagreeing with what I see as flawed arguments against it or flawed arguments for Brexit does not make me seeing it as black and white, as if you are the arbiter of reasonable arguments (the irony of you calling others black and white shown right there).
The reason why there is no debate is because you make out anyone who disagrees with you is duplicitous or guilty of seeing black and white reasoning, and declaring it as fact. Take your pompous head out of your arse and engage with the point instead of debating as if everyone who dares to disagree is inherently flawed.
Quite frankly, after arguing against food shortage risks, medicine shortage risks, the inadequacy of a quick technological fix to the Northern Ireland border problem and economic issues I’d keep shtum about predictions of the future of the EU. You were wrong on them, as is evident by the risks laid out by government risk assessments.
And, no, objecting to your own statements on the EU does not equal me thinking it is perfect before you start trying to straw man someone who disagrees with you again.
You really are the right wing equivalent of Owen Jones. Stuck up, self-righteous and arrogant to the extreme. It’s ironic that you bemoan people seeing Tories as evil in a black and white fashion when you clearly see disagreements with you as inherently wrong in a black and white fashion. Then you wonder why you get snark back.
