When I was teaching in Newcastle in the 1970s and 80s it was well known that if you wanted a Headship then being a member of the Labour Party pretty much put you in pole position at any interview.
There was a lot of corruption in local government at that time. Our old neighbour was part of the T Dan Smith/Poulson scandal and my late father in law had a tale about money for fire-engines being hived off into personal accounts. Yes, shock, horror! Corrupt dealings go on across all parties at all levels. We all know it is wrong and those involved should be brought to task. Anderson has been suspended by the Labour Party anyway.
We also know that the OP is a classic bit of Alcazar whataboutery. And we admire his patience for waiting for such an opportunity.
However the present (national, not local) government have now taken corruption to a new level that makes dodgy dealings over building contracts look like driving a car with no insurance!
