Daws: No Iron bid for Eoin Doyle

Scunthorpe boss Nick Daws has admitted the club still have an interest in Preston striker Eoin Doyle, but have not tabled a bid for the former Chesterfield man.

Reports in the Irish Sun have suggested the Iron are lining up a £250,000 to land the striker, who turned them down in January window.

“We haven’t made an offer. It’s no secret that Eoin Doyle has been linked with us over the course of the season and in January”, Daws told BBC Radio Humberside.

“He is one of a number of players we have watched and followed closely and we have had an element of interest in”.
