Banning orders up to 35

Scunthorpe United issued four fans banning orders between September 2013 and September 2014, according to a new Government document.

The Home Office have released their latest breakdown of Football-related arrests and banning orders, for the 2013/14 season.

It takes the amount of Scunthorpe United fans with banning orders to 35, with only Bristol City (61) and Bradford (56) banning more risk supporters in League One.

There were just three Scunthorpe fans arrested last term, one of the lowest in League Two, despite ugly clashes with Grimsby fans at Blundell Park after the FA Cup game last November.

12 Grimsby fans were arrested on the day as Iron fans were ambushed with bricks and bottles on Cleethorpes seas front.

Two of the three fans were arrested at Glanford Park, whilst one was at an away fixture with arrests made for violent disorder, public disorder and an alcohol related offence.

The majority of United fans restricted under banning orders received their bans after an incident with Swindon Town during the 2012/13 season, when the Iron were relegated from League One.
