Scunthorpe boss Graham Alexander has suggested he will consider whether he is making too many changes to his starting line ups ahead of Tuesday night’s game with AFC Wimbledon at Glanford Park.

Alexander made four changes when his side drew 1-1 with Bristol Rovers at the weekend but two were enforced with Conor Townsend replacing the suspended Harry Toffolo and Sam Mantom replacing Stephen Dawson who had missed training due to a family bereavement.

“It is something I might have to look at but I have got to use the squad as I have done all through the season,” he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

“We have made changes all through the season. There are several reasons why we are not performing at the level we expect from ourselves and if that is one it is something I will look at.

“I am not sure if we are making too many changes and you have seen all season we have been quite consistent in how we pick the team and how we play.

“We have got such a good squad here and I have to be honest with the players. If they don’t perform to a certain level we have got good players to come into the team.”
