Footage has emerged on twitter of a group of youth’s causing disorder following Scunthorpe United’s Bank Holiday Monday game with Chesterfield.

The video was filmed by a passer-by in the town centre after the match, which saw the Iron secure a play-off place with a 3-1 win.

The video shows a group of youths chanting as they ran across the car park at the rear of the Blue Bell pub. They were said to have confronted a group of Chesterfield supporters and bottles were reported to have been thrown.

Police were said to have arrived at the scene, after which the group was seen to move towards Scunthorpe railway station.

It comes a little over a week after Bolton Wanderers condemned violence following the Iron’s 1-0 victory at Glanford Park.
