Trust to buy a season ticket for a fan

One Scunthorpe United fan will get their season ticket bought for them by the Iron Trust as a reward for their loyalty.

Everyone who is a member of the supporters trust at the end of June will be entered into the draw, with the winner getting their 2016/17 season ticket bought for them.

Confidence among fans is high after a strong finish to the 2015/16 campaign which saw the first-team only miss out on the play-offs on goal difference, and the Trust want to help build on that momentum.

Trust board member Luke Thornhill said: “We finished last season on a high, and as a Trust want to do our bit to keep momentum up to start the next campaign just as well.

“Members told us at our AGM that they want us to focus on rewarding supporters, so we thought this would be a good way to help fans while also allowing us to back and invest in the club.

“The success we saw under Graham Alexander give us great optimism for the future of the club, and we want to join with all fans to help the team.”

Lifetime membership of the Iron Trust is via a one-off fee of £10 for adults, you can sign up online at theirontrust.com.
