Iron chairman Peter Swann has hinted there will be players departing Glanford Park in the last week of the January transfer window.

He told the club’s official website: “As we move towards the new make up of the team some players will leave and some will go on long term loans.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank those who move on and wish them all the best for the future and the ones who don’t, will end up fighting for a place in the team or getting back to full fitness to compete for a new contract.”

“This final week of the transfer window can be very hectic as players realise they need to move to get football or to improve themselves.”

Swann also revealed the club have completed the “majority” of January signings and suggested he was “delighted with the quality of the footballers” that have arrived during the window.

“Having secured the services of Liam, Ozzy, Jordan, Jacob and Tom, along with Luke the new keeper, we have some exciting additions to the squad, making us competitive and hopefully spurring on the remainder of the players, to perform to their best”, he added.
