Scunthorpe United are monitoring the contract situation of Bradford captain Romain Vincelot, according to the Telegraph & Argus.

The Frenchman is entering the final year of his deal with the Bantams and it is understood that Scunthorpe have shown an interest in signing the combative midfielder.

Vincelot is said to be in advanced talks with the Valley Parade club with regards to extending his stay, however, it is understood Graham Alexander would be interested in bringing the player to Glanford Park should the opportunity arise.

It is rumoured that Bradford have already turned down an offer from an unknown club for the 31 year old.
