Report: Charlton interested in Dawson

Charlton are interested in signing Iron midfielder Stephen Dawson, according to the London Evening Standard.

They report that Addicks’ boss Russell Slade, who is looking for at least four more arrivals before the transfer window closes, wants to reunite with Dawson following a successful spell at Leyton Orient.

“Top-six is the minimum requirement,” he told Standard Sport.

“Are we there yet? No. We are short on the recruitment side.”

Dawson made just 19 appearances for the Iron last season following sitting out much of the opening half of the campaign through injury.
